Most are not experts in their field and struggle with managing people and guiding individuals. Everything was too transactional and you don't feel part of a team at all. And direct people leaders genuinely don't care about employee work loads or lives. From the CEO down, they don't know what they're doing. They use this saying to justify the speed and randomness teams complete work. You're onboarded and thrown into the deep end to 'build a plane we're flying'. HR team is not helpful with anything - from training, to pay information, feedback interviews and anything else.

We're really saddened to hear that parts of your experience have left you feeling this way, and it's of real concern to hear that you're feeling overworked and that your mental health isn't important. So many talented people have quit and it's become even more difficult working here. No one cares because we are all stressed out. You will work more than 40 hours a week, have meetings that could've been emails and you will be stressed out. Work life balance does not exist here as well. Upward progression is nonexistent, unless you brown nose your way up. One of the CEOs specifically laughed and said that we wouldn't have summer Fridays or a 4 day work week. Be careful in applying here, you just might get laid off like so many others have. HR and the People team do not care about your wellbeing, so good luck.

It's a subpar ploy to keep you from looking elsewhere. Your mental health is not important, but HR will tell you that is it. The marketing team is overworked, stressed and tired, but do leaders care? Of course not. Managers are not experts and cannot lead a team correctly they're just abysmal. The word toxic is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Zip.
